Terms of Use

1. The service

SlowCheck (https://slowcheck.in) is a free checker for a single public page. You submit one page URL and receive automated speed, security configuration, SEO, and related findings. There is no account, login, or paid plan. Completed results are reused for about 60 minutes so the same URL is not rescanned immediately. Checks are limited to about 10 per hour per connection, and Excel exports to 20 per hour.

2. Acceptable use

• Only submit public pages you are allowed to test. You do not need to own the site.
• Use SlowCheck for lawful purposes and do not violate the rights of others.
• Do not attempt to scan private networks, internal systems, or localhost.
• Do not use SlowCheck as a proxy into third-party or internal infrastructure.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

• attempt to gain unauthorized access to websites, servers, systems, or networks, or bypass authentication, access controls, or security mechanisms;
• submit URLs intended to reach private or internal systems (these destinations are blocked technically);
• abuse, overload, disrupt, or interfere with third-party websites or services;
• bypass or attempt to circumvent rate limits, or use automated methods to generate excessive requests;
• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, or harmful purposes, or to damage, disable, or overburden our infrastructure or third-party services;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the Service is being abused.

4. URLs you submit

We do not claim ownership of the websites or pages you submit, and submitting a URL does not mean the owner has authorized, endorsed, or is affiliated with SlowCheck. You are responsible for the URLs you submit and for making sure your use of them through the Service is lawful. We may apply technical restrictions to what can be submitted - for example address length, address scheme, and private-network destinations.

5. Analysis results

Results are generated automatically and are for informational and diagnostic purposes. They depend on the submitted page, network conditions, measurement providers, testing conditions, and changes to the page or to the analysis tools. We do not guarantee that results are always accurate, complete, or available; that a page will achieve a particular performance score; that a page will achieve or improve its search-engine ranking; that following a recommendation will produce any particular result; or that the Service will be continuously available or error-free. Evaluate results independently before making technical, business, or other decisions based on them.

6. Not professional advice

Security findings are basic configuration checks for public pages - not a penetration test, vulnerability assessment, or complete security audit. SEO findings are informational and do not guarantee search rankings. Always verify critical issues with qualified professionals.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services and infrastructure - for example measurement providers such as Google PageSpeed Insights, and our hosting provider. Their availability, limits, and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for interruptions, errors, changes, or limitations that originate with them. The Privacy Policy explains what is shared with measurement providers.

8. Intellectual property

The Service - its software, design, branding, user interface, and original content - belongs to us or is licensed to us unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit it without permission, except where applicable law allows. Content on third-party websites remains the property of its respective owners.

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, usage limits, and technical requirements. The free Service may be rate-limited, interrupted, or changed without notice, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or suitability of the Service or its results for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service - including losses relating to website performance, search-engine rankings, business decisions, loss of data or revenue, or reliance on analysis results. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person or organization.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge that information may be processed as described there.

14. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access without prior notice where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or security threats, enforce these Terms, protect the Service or other users, comply with legal requirements, or address technical or operational issues. Because the Service is free and has no user accounts, this may include blocking particular IP addresses, requests, URLs, or other technical identifiers.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes. Your continued use of the Service after an updated version is published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
